right, its 4:01 in the morning and i cant get to sleep! this is crazy considering the fact that i have to wake up at 6! i cant get to sleep because of a stupid reason- after i took a shower i wanted to go downstairs to get get a cup of water to drink, but as i walked down the stairs i heard sounds from the tv room and i was thinking highly unlikely that daddy’s still watching tv at this time. Believing that he fell asleep on the couch, i took a peek into the room and saw no one, lights and fans all off, only the Tv was on. Being a scaredy cat i ran up to my room immediately without switching off the tv! not that i like to waste electricity or anything, i swear its freaking scary! especially when its 7th month! especially when the Fan switched off by itself last night, sis complained that the tv channels went haywire last week and mummy experience some weird scent and strong gush of wind with dogs howling one afternoon when the windows were closed.

To make things worse, there’s a lizard crawling around in my room and i HATE lizards. now i don’t dare to off the lights and i am so thirsty. HOW TO FALL ASLEEP?

bread and butter pudding:)

i’ll always remember those days when we had buffet in the club and there was a spread of desserts at the sweets corner. Being a sucker for desserts, i would always be eyeing the sweet stuffs even before i started eating my main course. I simply love desserts, anything from cakes to pastries to muffins to cookies to ice creams.. but something which left a deep impression on me as a young girl was the taste of bread and butter pudding. The first time i tried bread and butter pudding, i totally fell in love with it… it tasted buttery but not overwhelmingly strong, together with the creamy sweet warm sauce, it was h-e-a-v-e-n. They call it comfort food, and i totally agree with it. Unfortunately, i couldnt remember when or why the club stopped offering bread and butter pudding in their selection of desserts which made me disappointed whenever i checked out the sweets corner with high hopes and anticipation.

As i grew older, i still relish the taste of bread and butter pudding and how it brings back sweet memories where my father always took a huge serving of bread and butter pudding for me and said : ‘ Char for you, your favourite baby food’ ( he calls it baby food because its very marshy). Then i realised, why cant i make it myself, im sure there are many recipes available online! So i went to google bread and butter pudding and indeed, tons of recipes appeared. eventually, i chose one from all recipes- here’s the link and tastes totally awesome! whats more, its really easy to make! My family were the first ones to try and they really loved it.. my father even asked for a second serving which he don’t usually do! i was really happy and satisfied with the results, so i made another one just a few months back. This time, i added my own flavors- i split the bread and butter pudding into 3 parts, the first was plain, the second was filled with raisins and the last was filled with oreo chunks and chocolate chips! they tasted just as great here’s a picture of a half-eaten piece by another BIG fan of bread and butter pudding:P

im sure there will be a 3rd time. you should try it too!

its his dream,which becomes my dream as well because i wanna help him fulfill it, just like how he helps me to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional baker. The support you give me is all the strength i ever need to overcome any barriers along the way

im back in business with a new motivation- baking and cooking! i really really want to do this well especially with all the support im getting from my friends and family! So before i start, let me introduce my intentions for starting this blog. Its partially because many friends have asked me why i stopped blogging and partially (and more importantly) to act as a new platform for me to share my passion with people around who have the same interest as me! Of course, i will blog about the happenings in my life as well, not only bout food food food and more food! Soooo Stay tuned! =)
